Good: It's comprehensive, and has a lot of good information in it.
Bad: There's lots of links to other pages, which makes it a bit awkward to navigate. Someone who doesn't know much about the Holocaust might not know where to start.
http://www.ushmm.org/ -- This website is for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. It is well set out; it has lots of pictures and information. The website is accessible in many different languages, including Chinese. The website has many links to sites such as YouTube, Facebook and Twitter, which shows that the website is trying to appeal to the youth. As you can see the website is detailed, informative and easily to get around. There is even a search bar.
http://holocaustfacts.net/ -- The website has no pictures on the Holocaust or much information. It has only one page of writing and this doesn’t seem very trustworthy. It is covered with adverts and there is no way to find certain information.
Welcome to Philips High School's History Department Blog
This is the blog of the history department at Philips High School.
Our aim is to encourage students to find out more about the past and to achieve success at GCSE level.
We want students to enjoy finding out about their past and so will make a lot of modern technology through the use of the Internet, Podcasting, blogging and interactive materials.
Students will be given opportunities to work with artefacts and other sources of evidence, go to sites of historical importance, join in with additional history clubs, take part in competitions and to be proud of their achievements in developing the skills needed to be a successful historian.

ReplyDeleteGood: Lots of Hyperlinks with a lot of information. It also answers a lot of questions not usually addressed.
Bad: The Hyperlinks can also make it confusing, as you don't know where to start. Also, there aren't many pictures, which can be a bit boring.
