How did the Nazis control young people?

In January 1933 Adolf Hitler became German Chancellor. He had already pinpointed using young people as targets for his Nazi Party propaganda and control but why?

There were a number of aspects of Nazi control of young people. In education the curriculum was changed greatly. All youth groups were banned and young people were expected to join an approved Nazi youth group. The rebellious thing to do for teenagers to do was NOT to join.
So how did the Nazis control young people?
